Activity – 2

Fill in the blanks with the correct alternative:

Write 6 sentences about Rabindranath Tagore: (রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর সম্পর্কে ৬টি বাক্য লিখুন)

Rabindranath Tagore was born in the Tagore family on 7th May 1861. (রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর ৭ই মে ১৮৬১ সালে ঠাকুর পরিবারে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন।)

He was born in Jorasanko, Calcutta. (তিনি কলকাতার জোড়াসাঁকোতে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন।)

His father's name was Devendranath Tagore and his mother's name was Sarada Devi. (তাঁর বাবার নাম ছিল দেবেন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর এবং মায়ের নাম ছিল সারদা দেবী।)

At the age of 17, he started his schooling in England. (১৭ বছর বয়সে তিনি ইংল্যান্ডে পড়াশোনা শুরু করেন।)

He wrote poems, short stories, novels, plays, and essays. (তিনি কবিতা, ছোটগল্প, উপন্যাস, নাটক এবং প্রবন্ধ লিখেছিলেন।)

Ans: The narrator and his friends liked freedom fighter Dadu because he was very generous to them, treated them like his own grandchildren, told stories, and sometimes even played with them. Dadu was still considerably good and his abilities were remarkable. (লেখক এবং তার বন্ধুরা দাদুকে পছন্দ করত কারণ তিনি তাঁদের প্রতি খুব উদার ছিলেন, নিজের নাতি-নাতনির মতো দেখতেন, গল্প বলতেন এবং কখনও কখনও তাঁদের সাথে খেলতেন। দাদু তখনও খুব ভালো ছিলেন এবং তাঁর দক্ষতা ছিল অসাধারণ।)

So, I think the narrator and his friends still miss freedom fighter ‘Dadu’. (দাদু লেখক এবং তার বন্ধুদের নিজের নাতি-নাতনির মতো দেখতেন, কখনও কখনও তাঁদের সাথে খেলতেন এবং তিনি প্রকৃত অর্থেই একজন মানবতাবাদী ছিলেন। তাই, আমি মনে করি লেখক এবং তার বন্ধুরা এখনও দাদুকে মিস করে।)
