এই কবিতায় একটি ছোট্ট চারাগাছের জন্ম ও জাগরণের কথা বলা হয়েছে। বীজের গভীরে ঘুমন্ত চারাগাছটিকে সূর্যের আলো ও বৃষ্টির ফোঁটাগুলি জাগিয়ে তোলে। সেই ডাকে সাড়া দিয়ে চারাগাছটি মাটি ফুঁড়ে উঠে আসে এবং বাইরের মনোরম জগতকে আবিষ্কার করে।
