Let's read:

A tiger was caught in a storm[ঝড়ের কবলে পড়ে]. He had wandered[ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছিল] near the village, looking  for[খুঁজছিল] something to eat. On the outskirts[প্রান্তে] of that village live lived an ill-tempered[রাগী] old woman. The tiger huddled[আবদ্ধ ছিল] in shelter[আশ্রয়স্থলে] close to the wall of the woman's hut.

The old woman was feeling very ill-tempered[খুব রাগী বোধ করছিলেন] that night. The rainwater[বৃষ্টির জল] was leaking[চুইয়ে পড়ছিল] through the roof.

আসুন পড়ি:

একটি বাঘ ঝড়ের কবলে পড়ে। সে গ্রামের কাছাকাছি ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছিল, কিছু খাওয়ার জন্য খুঁজছিল । সেই গ্রামের প্রান্তে একজন রাগী বৃদ্ধা মহিলা বাস করতেন। বাঘটি মহিলার কুঁড়েঘরের দেয়ালের কাছে আশ্রয়স্থলে আবদ্ধ ছিল।

সেই রাতে বৃদ্ধা মহিলাটি খুব রাগী বোধ করছিলেন। বৃষ্টির জল ছাদ দিয়ে চুইয়ে পড়ছিল।

"There is no escape[কোনো মুক্তি নেই] from this drip-drip[টিপটিপ]", she muttered[বিড়বিড় করে বলল] angrily[রাগান্বিতভাবে], pushing[সরিয়ে দিল] her bed around the room to keep it dry[শুকনো রাখতে]. She shoved[ঠেলে দিল] the bed and a tin trunk against a wall[দেয়ালের দিকে]. The wall shook[কেঁপে উঠল].

"This drip-drip will be the death[ শেষ করে দেবে] of me!"she shouted.

The tiger on the opposite side of the wall felt[অনুভব করল] the wall shake[কাঁপতে]  and was frightened[ভয় পেয়ে গেল]. "The drip-drip must be a very dreadful creature[ভয়ঙ্কর প্রাণী]," he thought.

Meanwhile[এদিকে], Bholenath, the potter, was out in the night, looking for[খুঁজতে] his donkey in the storm[ঝড়ের মধ্যে]. Suddenly[হঠাৎ] he saw an animal huddled[কুঁকড়ে থাকতে] in the dark against the wall of the woman's hut.

"এই টিপটিপ থেকে কোনো মুক্তি নেই," সে রাগান্বিতভাবে বিড়বিড় করে বলল, তার বিছানাটি শুকনো রাখতে ঘরের চারপাশে সরিয়ে দিল। সে বিছানা ও একটি টিনের বাক্স দেয়ালের দিকে ঠেলে দিল। দেয়াল কেঁপে উঠল।

"এই টিপটিপই আমাকে শেষ করে দেবে!" সে চিৎকার করল।

দেয়ালের অন্য পাশে থাকা বাঘটি দেয়াল কাঁপতে অনুভব করল এবং ভয় পেয়ে গেল। "এই টিপটিপ নিশ্চয়ই এক ভয়ঙ্কর প্রাণী," সে ভাবল।

এদিকে, ভোলেনাথ, কুমোর, ঝড়ের মধ্যে তার গাধাকে খুঁজতে বেরিয়েছিল। হঠাৎ সে অন্ধকারে বৃদ্ধার কুঁড়েঘরের দেয়ালের পাশে একটি প্রাণীকে কুঁকড়ে থাকতে দেখল।
